An exciting program for kids to deepen and celebrate their love of reading and to maintain their reading skills over the long school break!
All ages are welcome to participate, including kids who are not yet reading because being read to always counts.
Reading also includes listening to an audiobook.
To participate, the library will provide an official paper reading log starting Monday 6/10/2024. Stop by the library to get one!
The program will officially begin on Sunday 6/16/2024.
*If you don’t have time to stop by the library at the start of the program, simply record the dates your child reads each week (see below for more information). You can stop by at a later date and fill in the log to claim the drawing tickets.
Children can earn 27+ drawing tickets, a book prize, and a bookmark in this year’s Summer Reading Program.
There are 3 different ways to earn those tickets, book, and bookmark:
Stop in weekly to claim tickets or claim them by Friday 8/29/202. While at the library, you will enter them into the drawing baskets.
The prize drawings will be held on Tuesday 9/3/2024. All winners will be contacted by email on 9/3/2024 and all winners must be able to pick up their prize at the library.

During the Summer Reading Program, kids are encouraged to read anything they find fun, entertaining, and enjoyable. Chill out and read this summer!

FYI: When signing up, we will ask the child’s name and a caregiver’s email address (so that we can contact drawing winners). We will also ask registrants to circle an age group for each reader (ages 0-5, 6-12, 13-18, 18+). This information helps the librarians better understand the demographics of who is participating.
