Shannon Isaacs – Building and Land Use
As a Hopkinton employee for the past decade in the Building and Land Use Department, Shannon spends much of her time working with both residents and contractors as they navigate the sometimes daunting task of home renovations. The Building and Land Use Department is also where homeowners can get information about their home, property lines, Planning, and Conservation. Shannon is also the administrative assistant to both the Community Preservation Committee and the Open Space Preservation Commission. Â
Shannon has always been an avid reader and loves challenging herself to keep her Kindle streak alive. When asked about being a Guest Librarian she says she was excited but also a little nervous. She jokingly explained to me that she enjoys dark romance (among other types of books), but she knows that as part of a large community of readers, she may find others with similar book preferences. Recently Shannon has gotten into reading Advanced Reader Copies (ARC) books written by some of the most talented indie authors. Shannon has come up with a list of a little of everything, with many being the first book in a series. She warns, however, to always check your trigger warnings. Your mental health is important.
