Matt Kizner, Hopkinton Selectboard
Library Liaison
Like most great things in life, Matthew hails from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Born and raised in Dracut, Matt received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (at a date longer ago than he likes to acknowledge), and works professionally as a head of Systems and Analytics in Takeda’s R&D Quality division.
Matt and his wife Emma moved to town in 2017, and expanded their family to include Oliver in 2020, and Penelope in 2024. Matt was fortunate to join the Select Board in 2025, and spends much of his spare time meeting with people and town officials about all things Hopkinton. In the brief spare moments not defined by work, town, parenting, or maintaining his marriage, Matt loves: all things Boston sports (with a special hat tip to the Celtics), video games, a good book, painting miniature figures, and doing design and development work for the board game company he co-owns with his wife and friends.
