November’s Guest Librarian

Categories:

Charles (CJ) Paquette
Treasurer | Collector

September’s guest librarian is Charles Paquette. Growing up in rural Spencer, Charles (CJ) spent a lot of time outdoors. Having the privilege of growing up on a lake, CJ often spent his summers swimming, boating, and exploring all of the unique features mother nature has to offer. His love of nature, family, and animals kept CJ occupied.

History has always piqued CJ’s interest, specifically local history. CJ considers himself lucky to live in a state with such a rich history. Taking a day trip to Boston or Salem to look, learn, and remind ourselves of what Massachusetts was is one of CJ’s favorite activities. CJ’s family was always involved in local politics which led him to his municipal career path. CJ started his municipal career in his hometown of Spencer before taking a job at the highschool he graduated from. He then took a job in the wonderful town of Hopkinton! CJ came to the town as the Assistant Treasurer before being promoted to the Treasurer / Collector. CJ is extremely proud, and passionate about his job. Hopkinton is a wonderful community.

In his time off, CJ spends time with his significant other and their two dogs, Bentley and Penny. Bentley and Penny are both Boston Terriers (Massachuessetts state dog!), who are full of energy and excitement. CJ and his partner love to travel and explore as many different places as possible. Taking the dogs on hikes is one way CJ finds relaxation and tranquility. CJ’s favorite summer activity other than gardening, is spending time at the beach his family has spent several summers at. CJ enjoys cooking, and trying new receipts. He enjoys learning new things, whether that be at work or in his personal life.
